Limited. is one of the earliest maritime
consultancy companies set up with the
objective of assisting the shipping
industry in their efforts towards
implementing quality and safety management
systems. Prior to the introduction of the
ISM code in maritime industry, Vanguard
assisted its clients to maintain excellent
safety and quality standards on their
vessels, which lead to seamless transition
of the certification of ISM code.
Since then, Vanguard has continued to keep a
finger on the pulse of the maritime
industry. We work with the industry and
maritime regulators to understand
forthcoming regulations and develop
solutions for the companies and ships
required to implement these. We believe that
solutions must also be practical for the
users to apply to their work processes. Each
of our services is provided by a person
having the expertise needed by the client.
For example: The Maritime Labour Convention
training and consultancy is provided by
Master Mariners trained as Trainers in
International Labour Organization and having
years of experience of shipping and
management experience.
Our team comprises of highly experienced
Master Mariners, Marine Engineers and Naval
Architects.
We understand that ships and seafarers are
faced with a variety of challenges in their
day-to-day operations and have hence
developed a wide range of services that
reduce the workload on the company and their
staffs while assisting them overcome these
challenges.
We carry out environmental audits to verify
a ship’s compliance with the US
Environmental laws which enable companies
improve on their track records in USA.
With TMSA setting the tone for enhanced
performance based standards, Vanguard has
been pro-active in adapting this into the
tanker inspection portfolio and undertaking
third-party navigational audits and
campaigns. We also provide training needed
by staff to better understand the TMSA and
how to continually improve their
performance.
Vanguard ventured into offshore industry
with the preparation of safety cases for
our clients for the transportation and
installation of offshore structures which
are approved by authorities such as NOPSA
etc. Since then, we have developed
expertise in audits of support vessel’s
(OSV/PSV) and towage tugs in line with
IMCA guidance (CMID).
Shipyards, petrochemical plants, fertilizer
companies, and oil terminals are amongst the
wide array of clients that continue to
